Heading back for Homecoming on The Hill?

Here’s what you need to know…

What is the cost for the weekend?

The early bird rate for all the weekend activities, excluding the Golden Badger dinner, is $50 per person until January 31, 2020.  The rate for the weekend will go up to $75 for the whole weekend, on February 1, 2020 and registration will close March 26, 2020 at noon.  Please note tickets at the door will increase to $100 per person for the whole weekend.  The Golden Badger dinner tickets are $50 per person.  Tickets for single days are not available.

Your $50 registration fee gives you access to ALL of the events during Homecoming weekend! No longer do you have to pick and choose; you can attend any event (except for the Golden Badger Dinner) at no extra cost. The registration fee also covers your Homecoming t-shirt and souvenirs.

Where do I go when I get there?

If you plan to arrive on Friday, check in at Byrne Memorial Hall (the old library). From 11-5 there will be a team ready to welcome you, sign you in, find your name tag, and give you all the information you need for the weekend. Not coming to campus until Saturday? No problem. There will be a baseball game and Taste of The Hill on South Lawn from 11-1, and you can check in and grab your name tag there.

What if I forgot where everything is located?

Have no fear! There will be pocket itineraries, maps, and friendly staff and students ready to guide you at check-in. You can also find the schedule online any time.

What should I bring? How should I dress?

If you’ve been away from Mobile for a while, don’t forget that March weather is usually warm and humid (that’s what keeps the Azaleas in bloom!) but can change in an instant. It’s wise to pack a rain coat when visiting the wettest city in the continental U.S.!

Friday night’s big event is coastal casual: most folks wear shorts or skirts and a nice shirt or a comfy dress. The event will be outside (unless it rains) so think about layers in case it turns cool.

Dress comfortably for Saturday’s mid-day events; mid-day in Mobile can be quite warm. Feel free to remain in the same clothes for the All Class Reunion later that evening, but it’s also appropriate to dress up a little bit.

For our dear 50th reunion class, we typically see dressy attire (suits for men and lovely dresses, skirts, or pantsuits) at the Golden Badger Dinner.

What if I’m allergic to the food served at the events?
