Gautrelet Award

Presented to an alumnus or non-alumnus of high integrity who has demonstrated outstanding professional achievement.

Established in 1972 by Father Tipton.

Frequency and Award History

At the time it was established, it was the highest award given by Spring Hill College Given in honor of Rev. Gautrelet, S.J., first Jesuit President of the College. Nominees are proposed to a committee of the National Alumni Association Board to review. Final selection is made by the President of the College.

Criteria

*Note: In 1999 this award was re-developed, enveloping the criteria of several other awards (now defunct).

When/Where Awarded

At the Annual President's Dinner 1971-1986; during Reunion Weekend, or in the hometown of the recipient.
